I purchased this historic building in winter 2017 after I found it difficult to find long term pet friendly lodging in Algoma. The building has served as a horse tack (bridles, saddles, etc) and coffin shop, music shop, insurance office and more. It has been a mix of long and short term rentals over the past twenty years and I continue that tradition. Allowing pets of course!
I live on site with my two dogs, Harper and Dottie, and my two cats, Frankie and Wesley. My pets are completely contained in my apartment so no worries about encountering them elsewhere in the building. Although the pups have been known to beg for some attention in the alley way!
I hope to provide a space for people to feel welcome and cared for. Because I am right on site, I am here for an emergencies or issues, but I always encourage people to settle in and make their time their own while they stay at The Haven.
